STORY
"When will my magic be born ... !?" Filia was a young fairy who grew up in a village filled with magical power, but she struggled with magic and often failed no matter what spell she tried. She felt she had no special talent, leading to days filled with a lack of confidence.
On her 18th birthday, Filia received warm blessings from the villagers, but her heart was filled with anxiety. As she looked up at the night sky, countless stars were shining. “I want to find my own brilliance in this vast world,” Filia thought. Under the starry sky, she resolved to embark on a journey to find herself.
The next morning, Filia gathered her courage, tied up her hair, and set out from the village, watched over by the villagers. As the familiar scenery gradually faded into the distance, she walked on, filled with a mixture of expectations and anxiety, wondering where she might find her talent.
During her journey, Filia met various people. She learned ancient wisdom from a sage in the forest, how to make magical potions from a fairy by the lake, and studied old magic books from the librarian of a magical library. However, none of these experiences helped her magic bloom.
One day, as Filia was traveling through a dense forest, she heard an explosion in the distance. Driven by curiosity, she headed in that direction. There, she found a scene where a slightly older female alchemist was joyfully conducting experiments, even though she was covered in the smoke of failed potions.
The slightly older female alchemist noticed Filia and greeted her kindly. “Hello. I’m Alicia. This experiment is still in progress, but would you like to watch?” Filia was amazed and deeply moved by Alicia’s enthusiastic dedication to her experiments.
When Filia confessed that she was on a journey to find herself, Alicia offered to let her stay at her home for a while. Through their time living together, Filia gradually began to confront her inner fears and anxieties, growing as a person. Alicia, sharing her own experiences, encouraged Filia by saying, “Everyone has things they are good at and things they struggle with. You must have something you’re good at. Believing in your own talent is important.”
One day, Alicia suggested to Filia, “How about participating in the magic competition held in Luminous Harbor?” The theme of this competition changes every year, and it isn’t revealed until the day of the event. Filia was hesitant at first, but when Alicia smiled and said, “You have a special light within you,” those words gave Filia the courage she needed, and she decided to enter the competition.
Filia and Alicia arrived in Luminous Harbor. As preparations for the competition progressed, confident rivals gathered, boasting their various tools and skills, ready to win no matter what the theme would be. Filia felt overwhelmed and anxious by their display, but Alicia gently whispered, “It’s okay, you have an amazing talent. Believe in yourself.”
Finally, the time came for the theme of the magic competition in this year to be announced. Nervous, Filia listened intently alongside the other participants. The host stepped onto the stage and announced, “This year’s theme is… ‘Magic to make alcohol delicious!’” Filia was surprised, but Alicia placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder and encouraged her, saying, “You’ll be fine.”
The magic competition began, and one by one, participants showcased their spells. Finally, it was Filia’s turn. Although nervous, Filia took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. At that moment, her eyes met Alicia’s in the audience. Alicia gave a quiet smile, and from that gaze, Filia drew the final bit of courage she needed.With courage and confidence in her heart, Filia cast her spell.
The moment Filia cast her spell, the drink became astonishingly delicious, and the entire venue erupted in cheers and applause. Filia’s victory was clear to everyone. Alicia smiled, looking into Filia’s eyes, and gently nodded. Filia responded to her gaze, her heart filled with gratitude and joy. Filia had finally found her true talent.
With the victory from the magic competition in Luminous Harbor in her heart, Filia returned to her village. At the celebration banquet, she served delicious drinks made with her magic. For the children, she prepared non-alcoholic cocktails. Surrounded by the villagers’ praise, as they exclaimed, “This is the most delicious drink I’ve ever had!” Filia felt her heart swell with warmth, realizing that her talent could bring joy to others.
Filia began to dream of spreading this delicious alcohol across the world, bringing happiness to more people. To make that dream a reality, Filia decided to embark on a journey once again. With renewed determination, she let down her newly tied hair, letting it flutter in the wind, and with the villagers seeing her off, she set out on a new adventure, full of dreams and hopes.
